What is HTML?
HTML is the markup language used to define web pages.
The web pages that make up your web site are marked up in Hyper Text Markup Language, or HTML. This tells web browsers how to display the content of the page to your site visitors.
The HTML code of the pages tells the web browser software how the pieces of content on each page and on the site as a whole are related to each other, or the semantics or the page.
HTML is one of the standards web designers and web developers are supposed to adhere to when building web sites to insure browser compatibility, usability, and accessibility.
